Our Whole Lives: Sexuality & Our Faith (8th grade parent orientation)

Together with North Parish and Haverhill UU churches, we’re pleased to announce the OWL program is being offered for both high school and 8th grade youth this year.

“I appreciated the open environment that allowed me to ask any question I wanted to ask without feeling awkward.”  – South Church 11th grader (attended OWL as an 8th grader)

“It was an amazing and open environment with great people and questions.” – South Church 11th grader (attended OWL as an 8th grader)

Our Whole Lives, together with Sexuality and Our Faith, teaches and models caring, compassion, respect and justice, moving beyond the intellect to address attitudes, values, and feelings that youth have about themselves and the world. This comprehensive program  helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their relationships, health and behavior in the context of their faith. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. It provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills and understand the social, emotional and spiritual aspects of sexuality.
