Community Reads “JUST MERCY”

Author Bryan Stevenson brings us an unforgettable true story about the redeeming potential of mercy in “Just Mercy.” It is a clarion call to fix our broken system of justice. In celebration of the progress of the passing of the ​Massachusetts ​Justice Reform Act​ of 2018​, the Social Justice Coalition invites the community to read “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption.” A limited supply of books ​are ​available for $16 at the South Church office.

All are welcome to gather for a potluck dinner and ​facilitated ​discussion of the book, Thursday, June 14th, 6-8:30 pm at South Church ​in​ Andover. The Reverend Dr. Julie A. Mavity Meddalena will facilitate our discussion. She has her PhD in Religious Ethics from Southern Methodist University.  She is Dire tor of Spiritual Life and School Minister of Brooks School.  She has been a speaker/facilitator for Courageous Conversations programs.

​Dinner is open to everyone. The text and discussion are more suited for High School youth and adults. ​
