Schedule

  • Friday, October 14, 2022
    • Plan to arrive for dinner. The game room, library and other facilities will be open and available.
    • Buffet-style dinner 6:00-8:00pm
  • Saturday, October 15
    • The formal event begins after breakfast.
    • Workshops, outdoor group activities, keynote speaker Reverend Dr. Jim Antal, and science fair
    • Activities are designed for participation by all ages (toddler/infant childcare available at lodge)
    • Campfire and s’mores (if weather permits)
  • Sunday, October 16
    • Breakfast, followed by outdoor reflection led by church youth
    • Church Service and event closing
    • This leaves time for an informal lunch, a hike, a foliage tour, or just a pleasant ride home

Room Costs

The AMC’s new approach to room charges is different than in past years. Some prices are lower, especially for full rooms. As in the past, open bunks in the Shapleigh Bunkhouse are least expensive. Rooms in private bunkrooms with shared bathrooms are more expensive, and rooms with private baths are most expensive, as these per-night examples indicate. Prices below for each night include dinner and breakfast. These rates are based on AMC member pricing, as explained below. (Note there is an 8½% NH tax for each booking.)

  • Shapleigh Bunkhouse (shared bathroom): single youth (13-17) $66.00 for 1 person per night
  • Private bunkroom (shared bathroom): 2 adults, 2 children (3-12) $316.00 for 4 people per night
  • Private room (with bath): 2 adults, 2 children (3-12) $391.00 for 4 people per night

These prices include our use of the AMC’s on-site conference facilities.

The AMC team is great to work with. Call the number listed below to get the retreat pricing, and they’ll take you through the options for rooms, your party size, and their ages. They will also explain the advantages of joining the AMC to reduce the overall bill. Most folks will stay Friday and Saturday, but one-night stays are an option.

Meals

  • Breakfast and dinner will be served in their dining room. Saturday box lunch ordered separately.
  • When you call the AMC, they will review meal options.
  • Provide food allergy information and vegetarian requests when making reservation.

Booking Instructions

  • Space is limited.
  • Note: if the room is paid for by an AMC member’s credit card, a 20% discount applies
    (The annual AMC membership is $50, or $25 for ages 30 and under or 70 and over)
  • To get group rooms and rates, reservations must be made by phone with our reservation #.
    • Call the AMC Contact Service Center Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm at 603-466-2727, Option 1.
    • Ask to reserve into South Church Green Coalition using Reservation # 604106
    • When making your reservation, also order box lunches for your party
    • Provide food allergy information and vegetarian requests
  • Payment in full is required when you reserve. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover
  • Cancellation Policy: Full refund less a $25 per night, per room for cancellations made 14 or more days prior to arrival date; no refunds for cancellations made fewer than 14 days prior to arrival date.
