The Sanctuary Choir is the core of musical energy for South Church. Singers of all ages, from high school on up, meet together to laugh, share life, and make music to the glory of God. Many of our members are strong singers and all are willing to help new or nervous beginners. The music that this group puts together truly enhances the worship at South Church and serves as an anchor for us all.
The Sanctuary Choir meets for rehearsal every Thursday, 7:30-9:30pm, in the Music Room. They participate in the service every Sunday except for the last Sunday of the month. When participating in the service, they rehearse from 9:15-10:15am in the Sanctuary.
In addition to the weekly Sunday services, the choir has participated in Neighbors in
Need concerts at the Methuen Music Hall and has combined forces with other local
church choirs for special events and major works. Christmas and Easter the choir joins
forces with guest brass and a small orchestra. Church member instrumentalists often
accompany the choir throughout the year.
