Summer of Service Registration

Summer of Service (SOS) is a Haystack award winning community service program for middle school and high school youth. During a typical day of SOS, participants engage in hands-on service projects in Lawrence, Lowell, Boston, and the greater Merrimack Valley. Some of the volunteer sites include ABC House, Common Art, Gaining Ground, Rosie’s Place, Neighbors in Need, Johnson’s Farm, Marland Place, Cor Unum. After participants arrive in the morning, organize into small work groups, they caravan to work sites. The group comes back together in the afternoon for lunch and fun activities. Fridays are beach days!

Registrants must have completed their first year of middle school to participate.

Days begin at 8:30am and end at approximately 3:00pm.
Week 1: July 10-14 (FULL)
Week 2: July 17-21 (FULL)
Week 3: July 24-28

Please note: Registration is open to all but priority is given to South Church members until June 1st. We recommend sending in applications/checks now. We will hold them (first come first served) and will fill spots at that time.
