Healthy group dynamics, challenging one’s understanding of faith in relation to personal identity, and opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection in a relaxed, fun, and welcoming environment – that is what our Youth Groups are about. Structured around the ideals of fellowship, worship, and education, we meet in our colorful, comfortable Youth Space where middle schoolers meet once a week and high schoolers meet once a month. Numerous special activities include overnights, fun-filled fundraisers and trips where they can just be themselves.
In past years, our SOS kids have harvested, planted and sorted fresh produce for different farms and pantries throughout the Merrimack Valley; created art with homeless individuals in Boston; served meals at soup kitchens in Lawrence and Chelsea; prepared and served lunches for volunteers at Habitat for Humanity build sites and at the ReStore, and they’ve put in hours cleaning the windows and other areas of our church. In the afternoons, they have enjoyed each other’s company through crazy, wild games and eating tons of Flav-Or-Ice!
