Serving the Greater Community

At South Church, we strive to be a resource for community-wide service opportunities. From food drives to building houses, gardening to supporting local businesses, there are all sorts of ways to serve this beautiful community.

Service at South Church
  • Giving Garden (gardening): 90% of garden harvests are delivered immediately to the warehouse of Neighbors In Need, which operates local food pantries. early spring to late fall/as desired Click here for more about the garden.
  • Farmers Market: Help during set-up, market hours, or breakdown or work behind the scenes on planning, administration, reducing food insecurity or strengthening the regional food system. Click here for details and sign up! 1-2 hours/Saturdays June to October/as often as desired
  • Habitat for Humanity (building): Our groups are getting a lot done on Lupine Road in Andover! Click here for details and sign up! No experience needed. ages 18 & up (16 w/guardian)
  • Monthly Food Drive: Help with or donate to our food drive supporting various local food assistance programs. Our drive-thru, contactless drop-off takes place in front of South Church. the second Wednesday of each month Click here for details or here to sign up to help!
  • Lazarus House: Click here to sign up to help.
  • Neighbors in Need: Click here to sign up to help.
  • Bread & Roses (food prep): Work with others to prepare two meals and serve one meal each month. No in-person opportunities at Bread & Roses at this time.
